โI hate you,โ I seethed.
โYes, you do. Donโt forget.โ
โNever.โ
๐ mini blurb:
Odessa Cross was never meant to be anything more than a princess – not the โchosenโ one, and never a queen.
Her sister Mae was trained since birth to be the Sparrow, the one to marry & unite kingdoms.ย
All of that changes the day the Prince of Turah decided to choose her instead.
โฆ tropes & stuff:
๐ก enemies to lovers
โจ magic, monsters & godsย
๐ arranged marriage
๐ kingdoms & treatiesย
โค๏ธโ๐ฅ slow burn
๐ only one horse
๐ single 1st person povย

๐ญ what I loved about this one:
- Odessa is super funny, I loved being in her head & loved her energy
- โmy queenโ ๐ฎโ๐จ
- how the world building wasnโt too complex, letting me focus on the story & romanceย
- her relationship with Evie ๐ฅน (a child, but thatโs all I can say ๐ค)
- so many things I wonโt spoil in my review!
๐ what didnโt quite work for me:
- the writing was a bit repetitive at times – I did not need to know at least 10 times what this man smells like
- (I wonโt spoil) a characterโs name change kept confusing meย
